Italian merging
Two major players on Rostov premium furniture market collaborated to promote their brands.

Mebelny Mir KM showroom is an important establishment in Rostov-on-Don. For 20 years, it has been the biggest upper-middle and premium Italian furniture exhibition seen in the Russian South. The store’s collection amounted to 2,500 furnishing items produced by the leading Italian manufacturers, such as Aster, Scavolini, Cattelan, Zanaboni, DV, and virtually all brands of Gimo group, to name a few. On the other hand, in Rostov there is AP Luxury Brands, a company known for representing American interior design brands A. R. T. Furniture, Bernhardt, Century, Harden, Hickory Chair, Hickory White, Hooker, Lexington, Universal. Since recently, AP Luxury Brands has started showing Italian brands. The company has exclusive supply agreements with Vitra, Turri, Malerba, and Provasi.
“Regardless the wide array of our brands, we never felt confident enough working with Italy,” says Valentina Kharchenko from AP Luxury Brands. “However, Russian premium segment sees this country as a key supplier of interior design goods, and we cannot ignore it when negotiating with our end consumers and professional designers. Meanwhile, our colleagues from Mebel KM have strong ties with Italian manufacturers. They exclusively represent many brands across the Russian South, so we decided to join forces and offer not only the best quality, but also the best prices.”
The parties state that after merging there will still be two separate brands Mebel KM and AP Luxury Brands.
According to Kharchenko, the connoisseurs of high-quality, stylish and comfortable furniture will appreciate the new opportunities arising in product collections, loyalty programs, exhibition quality and great joint services.
